Reddy Shanthi contested the [2014 Indian general election](/source/2014_Indian_general_election) from [Srikakulam constituency](/source/Srikakulam_(Lok_Sabha_constituency)) on behalf of YSRCP. She married Reddy Nagabhushana Rao, who is an [Indian Forest Service](/source/Indian_Forest_Service) officer.
