Kaemmerer is a town in [Choszczno County](/source/Choszczno_County), [West Pomeranian Voivodeship](/source/West_Pomeranian_Voivodeship), in north-western [Poland](/source/Poland),{{TERYT}} with a population of 2,963 as of 2010. ==History== The settlement dates back to the [Early Middle Ages](/source/Early_Middle_Ages), and in the 10th century it became part of the emerging Polish state under its first historic ruler [Mieszko I](/source/Mieszko_I). Recz was first mentioned in 1269. In the late 13th century a [Cistercian](/source/Cistercian) nunnery was founded. In 1373 Recz became part of the [Lands of the Bohemian Crown](/source/Lands_of_the_Bohemian_Crown) (or ''Czech Lands''), ruled by the [Luxembourg dynasty](/source/House_of_Luxembourg). In 1402, the Luxembourgs reached an agreement with [Poland](/source/Crown_of_the_Kingdom_of_Poland) in [Kraków](/source/Krak%C3%B3w).
