"**Real+**" is mini plus album by South Korean singer-songwriter [IU](/source/IU_(entertainer)). It was released as a [single album](/source/Single_(music)),[1] titled *Real+* and distributed by [LOEN Entertainment](/source/LOEN_Entertainment) on February 17, 2011. The single, a follow-up to *[Real](/source/Real_(IU_EP))* (2010), consists of three tracks in total. One song in the album, "Only I Didn't Know", appears twice – the second time as a collaboration piece with pianist [Kim Gwang-min](https://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EA%B9%80%EA%B4%91%EB%AF%BC_(%ED%94%BC%EC%95%84%EB%85%B8_%EC%97%B0%EC%A3%BC%EC%9E%90)).[2]

## Background and release

The music video for the lead track, "Only I Didn't Know" (), features actress [Park Bo-young](/source/Park_Bo-young) as she is caught in a dramatic break-up story. Her ex-lover is played by singer-songwriter [Yoon Sang](/source/Yoon_Sang), who also composed this piece as a gift for IU.[3] The music video was released on the same day as the album.

The song itself is a departure from the pop-like sounds of her previously promoted song, "[Good Day](/source/Good_Day_(IU_song))" (). It features a mature combination of IU's striking high notes, vocals and orchestral instrumentation.[4]

IU made her promotional comeback with "Only I Didn't Know" in the television show *[Music Bank](/source/Music_Bank_(TV_program))* ([KBS](/source/Korean_Broadcasting_System)) on February 18, 2011, two days after the album's release.[5]

As of 2011, the album sold over 23,500 copies in South Korea.[6]
