He was credited for his claw structure theory in [James Kirkland](/source/James_Kirkland_(paleontologist))'s original paper on the dinosaur *[Utahraptor](/source/Utahraptor)*.[3] He left [Dinamation](/source/Dinamation) in 1996.[citation needed] Persinger also worked as a freelance artist for [Disneyland](/source/Disneyland)’s Entertainment Arts.[4]

In 2008, [SIAS University](/source/SIAS_University) in China's [Henan Province](/source/Henan_Province) invited Persinger and several other artists to participate in an [International Sculpture Symposium](/source/International_Sculpture_Symposium). Persinger's finished sculpture will be placed at the entrance of the SIAS campus sculpture garden.[6] Persinger's work has been selected as an example of how public art is created on the [PublicArt.org](http://www.PublicArt.org) website.[7]

As of 2008, Persinger was working on a Holocaust Monument project with poet and [Holocaust](/source/Holocaust) survivor [Peter Fischl](/source/Peter_Fischl). This monument will be placed at several museums around the world.[8]
