{{Infobox fault|name=Raymond Fault|location=Los Angeles County and Ventura County|state=California|country=USA|named_for=named for Raymond Hill}}thumb|The Raymond Fault in Southern California, United States.
The '''Raymond Fault''' is a [fault](/source/Fault_(geology)) across central [Los Angeles County](/source/Los_Angeles_County%2C_California) and western [Ventura County](/source/Ventura_County%2C_California) in [Southern California](/source/Southern_California).<ref>{{Cite web |title=Southern California Earthquake Data Center at Caltech |url=https://scedc.caltech.edu/earthquake/raymond.html |access-date=2023-11-11 |publisher=Southern California Earthquake Data Center}}</ref>

==San Gabriel Valley area==
The eastern end of the Raymond Fault branches from the [San Andreas Fault](/source/San_Andreas_Fault) in the [San Gabriel Mountains](/source/San_Gabriel_Mountains) where it forms the east fork of the [San Gabriel River](/source/San_Gabriel_River_(California)) and [Monrovia](/source/Monrovia%2C_California) Canyon. The fault is very straight and follows a [WbS](/source/WbS) path. It then goes straight west through [Arcadia](/source/Arcadia%2C_California) and the [Santa Anita Racetrack](/source/Santa_Anita_Racetrack) in the [San Gabriel Valley](/source/San_Gabriel_Valley), and then forms the [San Rafael Hills](/source/San_Rafael_Hills) in [San Marino](/source/San_Marino%2C_California) and [South Pasadena](/source/South_Pasadena%2C_California), and Raymond Hill, after which the fault is named.

==Los Angeles–Ventura areas==
The fault continues west to form the hills of [Highland Park](/source/Highland_Park%2C_Los_Angeles%2C_California), the lower eastern Santa Monica Mountains from [Dodger Stadium](/source/Dodger_Stadium), [Silver Lake](/source/Silver_Lake%2C_Los_Angeles), and [Griffith Park](/source/Griffith_Park) through the [Hollywood Hills](/source/Hollywood_Hills) above the [Sunset Strip](/source/Sunset_Strip) and [Studio City](/source/Studio_City%2C_California). Further west the Raymond Fault creates the higher central and western [Santa Monica Mountains](/source/Santa_Monica_Mountains) from [Beverly Hills](/source/Beverly_Hills%2C_California) and along the southern [San Fernando Valley](/source/San_Fernando_Valley) to [Thousand Oaks](/source/Thousand_Oaks%2C_California) and [Malibu](/source/Malibu%2C_California), and on to [Point Mugu](/source/Point_Mugu) at the [Pacific Ocean](/source/Pacific_Ocean). The fault then continues underwater to form the northern [Channel Islands](/source/Channel_Islands_(California)), and beyond to where it terminates.
