He competed in [4 x 100 metres relay](/source/4_x_100_metres_relay) at the [1968 Olympic Games](/source/Athletics_at_the_1968_Summer_Olympics), but the team consisting of Fabien, [Carl Archer](/source/Carl_Archer), [Edwin Roberts](/source/Edwin_Roberts) and [Winston Short](/source/Winston_Short) was knocked out in the semi-final. Fabien later competed in both [100 metres](/source/100_metres) and relay at the [1971 Pan American Games](/source/Athletics_at_the_1971_Pan_American_Games), but without reaching the final.
