# Ray Schow

**Ray Schow** is an American politician who served as a member of the [Washington State Senate](/source/Washington_State_Senate), representing the [30th district](/source/Washington's_30th_legislative_district) from 1994 to 1999.[1] A member of the [Republican Party](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)), he was appointed to fill the vacancy created by [Pete von Reichbauer](/source/Pete_von_Reichbauer)'s resignation to become a member of the [King County Council](/source/King_County_Council) in January 1994 and was defeated by [Democrat](/source/Democratic_Party_(United_States)) [Tracey Eide](/source/Tracey_Eide) in 1998.[2]
