**Raymond Clinton Isom** (born December 27, 1965) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [defensive back](/source/Defensive_back) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL).

Isom was born and raised in [Harrisburg, Pennsylvania](/source/Harrisburg%2C_Pennsylvania) and played scholastically at [Harrisburg High School](/source/Harrisburg_High_School_(Pennsylvania)).[1] He played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Penn State University](/source/Penn_State_University),[2] where he was honored by the [Associated Press](/source/Associated_Press) as a second-team [All-American](/source/College_Football_All-America_Team) as a senior.[3]

Isom signed with the [Tampa Bay Buccaneers](/source/Tampa_Bay_Buccaneers) as an [undrafted free agent](/source/Free_agent#Undrafted_free_agent). He was with the Bucs for the 1987 and 1988 seasons, appearing in eight games with two interceptions.[4]

Isom's brother [Rickey](/source/Rickey_Isom) also had a short NFL career.[1]
