# Ray Corley

**Raymond Charles Corley** (January 1, 1928 – February 5, 2007) was an American professional [basketball](/source/Basketball) player.[1] Corley was selected in the fifth round of the [1949 BAA Draft](/source/1949_BAA_Draft) by the [Providence Steamrollers](/source/Providence_Steamrollers) after a collegiate career at [Georgetown](/source/Georgetown_Hoyas_men's_basketball).[1] He played for the [Syracuse Nationals](/source/Syracuse_Nationals), [Baltimore Bullets](/source/Baltimore_Bullets_(1944%E2%80%931954)), [Tri-Cities Blackhawks](/source/Tri-Cities_Blackhawks) and [Fort Wayne Pistons](/source/Fort_Wayne_Pistons) in his three-season NBA career.[1] Ray is sometimes listed as the brother of fellow basketball player [Ken Corley](/source/Ken_Corley), but they were from different families, with Ken being from Oklahoma and Ray from New York City.
