'''Ratagan''' (Ràtagan in [Scottish Gaelic](/source/Scottish_Gaelic)) is a small hamlet on the southwestern shore of the sea loch, [Loch Duich](/source/Loch_Duich) in [Lochalsh](/source/Loch_Alsh), [Scottish Highlands](/source/Scottish_Highlands) and is in the Scottish council area of [Highland](/source/Highland_Council_area).

The Ratagan Youth Hostel is located along Loch Duich.

It is recorded that James Hogg, the Ettrick Shepherd, stayed in the house with sheep farmer Donald Macleod in 1803. The hamlet of [Shiel Bridge](/source/Shiel_Bridge) lies {{convert|1|mi|km|0|abbr=off}} southeast of Ratagan.

In February 2026, the Kyle and Lochalsh Community Trust took over part of a former commercial forestry plantation near Ratagan from [Forestry and Land Scotland](/source/Forestry_and_Land_Scotland).
