**Rastab** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): راستاب)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, [Junqan Rural District](/source/Junqan_Rural_District)[4] in [Junqan District](/source/Junqan_District) of [Farsan County](/source/Farsan_County), [Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari](/source/Chaharmahal_and_Bakhtiari_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran).

The village is populated by [Lurs](/source/Lurs).[5]

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,676 in 376 households, when it was in [Mizdej-e Sofla Rural District](/source/Mizdej-e_Sofla_Rural_District) of the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Farsan_County)).[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,715 people in 470 households,[7] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the formation of [Junqan District](/source/Junqan_District). Rastab was transferred to [Junqan Rural District](/source/Junqan_Rural_District) created in the new district.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,582 people in 453 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
