## Family

Father of Rasolo was [Chief Niumataiwalu](/source/Niumataiwalu) of [Lakeba](/source/Lakeba). Rasolo's mother was [Lady](/source/Adi_(title)) [Tarau of Totoya](/source/Tarau_of_Totoya).[3] Rasolo was a brother of Lady [Sivoki](/source/Sivoki) and [Uluilakeba I](/source/Uluilakeba_I) and half-brother of [Matawalu](/source/Matawalu).

Rasolo's first wife was Lady [Laufitu](/source/Laufitu). Their son was [Roko Malani](/source/Roko_Malani).

Rasolo's second wife was from [Lakeba](/source/Lakeba). She bore [Soroaqali](/source/Soroaqali) to Rasolo. Lady Radavu was the [third wife](/source/Polygamy) of Rasolo, and was the mother of [Taliai Tupou](/source/Taliai_Tupou).

## Biography

Rasolo became the third *[Roko Sau](/source/Roko_Sau)* of the [Lau Islands](/source/Lau_Islands) and first installed holder of the title *[Tu'i Nayau](/source/Tu'i_Nayau)*.[4] According to the [oral history](/source/Oral_history),[5] Rasolo was exiled to [Nayau](/source/Nayau).[6]

He is considered to be the progenitor of the noble households [Matailakeba](/source/Matailakeba) and [Vatuwaqa](/source/Vatuwaqa).[7]

It was under the rule of Rasolo that the invading [Bauan](/source/Bau_(island)) forces were driven from [Lakeba](/source/Lakeba).
