***Raphitoma oblonga*** is a [species](/source/Species) of [sea snail](/source/Sea_snail), a marine [gastropod](/source/Gastropod) [mollusk](/source/Mollusk) in the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Raphitomidae](/source/Raphitomidae).[1]

## Description

The length varies between 12 mm and 14 mm, and its diameter is between 5 mm and 5.5 mm.

The shell has a fusiform shape and a rather high acuminate [spire](/source/Spire_(mollusc)). The [body whorl](/source/Body_whorl) is bulbous. The [whorls](/source/Whorl_(mollusc)) are covered with regular longitudinal ribs forming small reticulations when crossed by the spiral riblets. The [aperture](/source/Aperture_(mollusc)) is oblong. The short [siphonal canal](/source/Siphonal_canal) is slightly bent. The ground color of the shell is dark brown, sometimes with white spots.[2]
