***Raphitoma dempsta*** is a species of [sea snail](/source/Sea_snail), a marine [gastropod](/source/Gastropod) [mollusk](/source/Mollusk) in the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Raphitomidae](/source/Raphitomidae).[1]

## Description

The length of the shell reaches 3 mm, its diameter 1 mm.

The white, minute, short shell has a rhomboid-fusiform shape and contains six [whorls](/source/Whorl_(mollusc)). The shell shows eight conspicuous ribs and dense, spiral threads. The [body whorl](/source/Body_whorl) measures half the total length. The [aperture](/source/Aperture_(mollusc)) is long and narrow. The outer [lip](/source/Lip_(gastropod)) is sharp and incrassate posteriorly. The short [siphonal canal](/source/Siphonal_canal) is wide.[2]

## Distribution

This marine species occurs in the South China Seas.
