# Rapel, Chile

**Rapel** is a [Chilean](/source/Chile) settlement located an hour away from [Melipilla](/source/Melipilla) in the commune of [Navidad](/source/Navidad,_Chile) on the [O'Higgins Region](/source/O'Higgins_Region).

During the summer, becomes a balneary. This settlement is near of the [Lake Rapel](/source/Lake_Rapel) and the [Rapel River](/source/Rapel_River). In the homonym river was installed the [Rapel Dam](/source/Rapel_Dam). The main economic activities in the zone are agriculture, commerce and services.
