**Rangpur-4** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). [Akhter Hossen](/source/Akhter_Hossen) is the current member of parliament who represent this constituency.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Kaunia](/source/Kaunia_Upazila) and [Pirgachha](/source/Pirgachha_Upazila) upazilas.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
