**Rangiora Recreation Ground** (also known as the **MainPower Oval** through a sponsorship deal with local company [MainPower](/source/MainPower)) is a [cricket](/source/Cricket) ground in [Rangiora](/source/Rangiora), [Canterbury](/source/Canterbury%2C_New_Zealand), New Zealand.

The Recreation Ground is recorded as being in existence since the early 1870s, and used for cricket since 1891.[1][2] It first held a [first-class match](/source/First-class_cricket) when [Canterbury](/source/Canterbury_cricket_team) played [Central Districts](/source/Central_Districts_cricket_team) in the 2003/04 [State Championship](/source/State_Championship#State_Championship).[3] Since the [2011 Christchurch earthquake](/source/2011_Christchurch_earthquake) damaged [Lancaster Park](/source/Lancaster_Park) beyond repair, Canterbury have played many of their first-class home matches in Rangiora.[4] Canterbury first played a [List A](/source/List_A_cricket) match there in the 2003/04 [State Shield](/source/State_Shield) when they played [Auckland](/source/Auckland_cricket_team), with eight matches in that format having been held there in the [2011-12 Ford Trophy](/source/2011-12_Ford_Trophy)[5] as well as a handful of [Twenty20](/source/Twenty20) matches.[6] By the end of the 2024–25 season, there had been 42 first-class matches at the ground, and 32 List A matches.[4][5]

Two Youth [One Day Internationals](/source/One_Day_International) have been played at Rangiora Recreation Ground, both in the [2010 Under-19 World Cup](/source/2010_ICC_Under-19_Cricket_World_Cup) when [England Under-19s](/source/England_Under-19_cricket_team) played [West Indies Under-19s](/source/West_Indies_Under-19_cricket_team) and [Australia Under-19s](/source/Australia_Under-19_cricket_team).[7] The ground has also been used a home venue for [Canterbury Women](/source/Canterbury_Magicians) in the [State League](/source/State_League) since the 2006/07 season.[8]

The [Canterbury Country](/source/Canterbury_Country_cricket_team) [Hawke Cup](/source/Hawke_Cup) team use Rangiora Recreation Ground as their home ground.[9] They successfully defended their title there against [North Otago](/source/North_Otago_cricket_team) in 2014–15.[10]
