**Ramian** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): راميان)[a] is a city in the [Central District](/source/Central_District_(Ramian_County)) of [Ramian County](/source/Ramian_County), [Golestan](/source/Golestan_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran), serving as capital of both the county and the district.[5]

## Demographics

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 11,719 in 2,831 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 12,263 people in 3,408 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 12,426 people in 3,772 households.[3]
