**Rajshahi-6** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). [Abu Sayeed Chand](/source/Abu_Sayeed_Chand) is the incumbent [MP](/source/Member_of_Parliament_(Bangladesh)) representing the constituency since February 2026.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Bagha](/source/Bagha_Upazila) and [Charghat](/source/Charghat_Upazila) upazilas, integrating the remaining areas under a single administrative and electoral boundary.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created from the former Rajshahi-5 constituency when, ahead of the [2008 general election](/source/2008_Bangladeshi_general_election), the [Election Commission](/source/Bangladesh_Election_Commission) redrew constituency boundaries to reflect population changes revealed by the [2001 Bangladesh census](/source/2001_Bangladesh_census).[3] The 2008 reapportionment transferred one seat from Sirajganj District to Rajshahi District.[4] The new seat took the name Rajshahi-3,[5] bumping up by one the suffix of the former constituency of that name and higher numbered constituencies in the district.
