==Synopsis==
In 1902 a team of [navvies](/source/navvies) work on the construction of a [new railway line](/source/Iron_Ore_Line) from [Luleå](/source/Lule%C3%A5) on the [Gulf of Bothnia](/source/Gulf_of_Bothnia) in [Northern Sweden](/source/Union_between_Sweden_and_Norway) to [Narvik](/source/Narvik) on the [Norwegian Sea](/source/Norwegian_Sea), then under [Swedish sovereignty](/source/Union_between_Sweden_and_Norway). Valfrid, from Southern Sweden, is ostracised by the other workers and their informal leader Stora Ballong.
