# RailAdventure

**RailAdventure** is a train operator based in [Munich](/source/Munich), Germany. Founded in 2006, it operates a fleet of ex [Deutsche Bundesbahn](/source/Deutsche_Bundesbahn) and [Swiss Federal Railways](/source/Swiss_Federal_Railways) locomotives.[1][2]

## United Kingdom

In April 2021 the company bought existing UK [train operating company](/source/Train_operating_company) SLC Operations, subsequently renamed RailAdventure UK Ltd.[3] The company purchased eight [Class 43](/source/British_Rail_Class_43_(HST)) power cars from [Angel Trains](/source/Angel_Trains), six for dual-car operational use, and two for spare parts.[4][5][6] It has been involved in hauling the [Class 777](/source/British_Rail_Class_777), [Class 555](/source/British_Rail_Class_555) and [Class 802](/source/British_Rail_Class_802) rolling stock to the [Eurotunnel Calais Terminal](/source/Eurotunnel_Calais_Terminal) on their delivery runs.[2]
