The oldest known mention of the village comes from 1291, although archaeological research has shown that the settlement dates back to the [Neolithic](/source/Neolithic) period and the [Early Middle Ages](/source/Early_Middle_Ages). In the late 13th-century ''[Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis](/source/Liber_fundationis_episcopatus_Vratislaviensis)'' manuscript it was mentioned under the [Latin](/source/Latin)ized name ''Raczikovicz''. Its name is of Polish origin and it was part of fragmented [Piast](/source/Piast_dynasty)-ruled [Poland](/source/Kingdom_of_Poland_(1025%E2%80%931385)), and afterwards it was also part of [Bohemia (Czechia)](/source/Kingdom_of_Bohemia), [Prussia](/source/Kingdom_of_Prussia) and [Germany](/source/Germany). During [World War II](/source/World_War_II), the Germans operated three [forced labour](/source/Forced_labour_under_German_rule_during_World_War_II) subcamps (E291, E532, E628) of the [Stalag VIII-B/344](/source/Stalag_VIII-B) [prisoner-of-war camp](/source/German_prisoner-of-war_camps_in_World_War_II) in the village.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.lamsdorf.com/working-parties.html|title=Working Parties|website=Lamsdorf.com|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20201029103834/https://www.lamsdorf.com/working-parties.html|accessdate=3 April 2021|archive-date=29 October 2020}}</ref> The village was restored to Poland after the defeat of [Nazi Germany](/source/Nazi_Germany) in World War II in 1945.

The historic structures of Radzikowice include the [Gothic](/source/Gothic_architecture_in_Poland)-[Renaissance](/source/Renaissance_architecture) Saint Bartholomew church which dates back to the 14th century, two [conciliation cross](/source/conciliation_cross)es from the 13th-14th century, and multiple chapels located throughout the village.
