**Radek Petr** (born 24 February 1987) is a Czech former professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [goalkeeper](/source/Goalkeeper_(association_football)).

## Club career

Petr started his career at hometown club [Baník Ostrava](/source/FC_Ban%C3%ADk_Ostrava). In August 2007, he signed a four-year contract with Serie A side [Parma](/source/Parma_Calcio_1913) for an undisclosed fee,[2] as third keeper behind [Luca Bucci](/source/Luca_Bucci) and [Nicola Pavarini](/source/Nicola_Pavarini), along with [Fabio Virgili](/source/Fabio_Virgili) and Eros Corradini. After the relegation of Parma, he was loaned to [Lega Pro Prima Divisione](/source/Lega_Pro_Prima_Divisione) side [Pro Patria](/source/Aurora_Pro_Patria_1919).[3]

In January 2009, he was loaned to [Eupen](/source/K.A.S._Eupen) at [Belgian Second Division](/source/Belgian_Second_Division).[4] In July 2009, his loan was extended and with option to buy in 2010. Eventually Eupen signed him for free.[5]

## International career

Petr was the first choice keeper for [Czech U20](/source/Czech_Republic_national_under-20_football_team) at [2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup](/source/2007_FIFA_U-20_World_Cup). He also played at [2006 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship](/source/2006_UEFA_European_Under-19_Football_Championship) as one of the starting XI.
