The name is derived from the personal Slavic name Radbud. The Radbuza originates in the territory of [Rybník](/source/Rybn%C3%ADk_(Doma%C5%BElice_District)) in the [Upper Palatine Forest](/source/Upper_Palatine_Forest) at an elevation of {{cvt|689|m}} and flows to [Plzeň](/source/Plze%C5%88), where it joins the [Mže](/source/M%C5%BEe) at an elevation of {{cvt|301|m}} and together they form the [Berounka](/source/Berounka). It is {{convert|109.7|km|abbr=on}} long, making it the [17th longest river in the Czech Republic](/source/List_of_rivers_of_the_Czech_Republic).
