# Rab-Mag

**Rab-Mag** (from *magh* [Persian](/source/Persian_language), [Medes](/source/Medes), and Babylonian designation for wise men, and Hebrew *[רחב](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D7%A8%D7%97%D7%91)* meaning broad)[1] was chief of the [Magi](/source/Magi) and one of the [Babylonian](/source/Babylon) princes present at the [destruction of Jerusalem](/source/Siege_of_Jerusalem_(587_BC)).[2]
