RC44 racing at San Diego Development Designer Russell Coutts & Andrej Justin Year 2007 Builder Pauger Yachts [edit on Wikidata]

The **RC44** sailboat was designed by [Russell Coutts](/source/Russell_Coutts) and with the assistance of naval architect [Andrej Justin](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Andrej_Justin&action=edit&redlink=1) the boat is built by [Pauger Carbon Composite](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pauger_Carbon_Composite&action=edit&redlink=1) / [Pauger Yachts](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pauger_Yachts&action=edit&redlink=1) and first launched in 2007. The class is recognised by the [International Sailing Federation](/source/International_Sailing_Federation) in November 2009 and held it first World Championships in 2010.

The boat was conceived in 2007.[1]
