Khan of the White Horde from 1251 to 1280

Qun Quran Khan of the Golden Horde Eastern Half (White Horde) Reign 1251–1280 Predecessor Orda Khan Successor Köchü Died 1280 (1281) House Borjigin Religion Tengrism

**Qun-Quran** or **Qun-Qiran** (r. 1251 – c. 1280) was the [khan](/source/Khan_(title)) of the [White Horde](/source/White_Horde), left wing of the [Golden Horde](/source/Golden_Horde).[1]

According to [Jami al-Tawarikh](/source/Jami_al-Tawarikh) ("Compendium of Chronicles") by [Rashid-al-Din Hamadani](/source/Rashid-al-Din_Hamadani), Qun-Quran was the fourth son of [Orda](/source/Orda_Khan), the eldest son of [Jochi](/source/Jochi).[2]

In 1256, a contingent of the Golden Horde under Qun Quran's eldest brother Kuli dispatched in [Persia](/source/Persia) to assist [Hulagu](/source/Hulagu). Sometime after the [Siege of Baghdad (1258)](/source/Siege_of_Baghdad_(1258)), Kuli died in uncertain circumstances which constrained the Jochids' relationship with the [Ilkhanate](/source/Ilkhanate). During his rule, some descendants of Orda supported the election of [Ariq Böke](/source/Ariq_B%C3%B6ke) and sided with him in the [Toluid Civil War](/source/Toluid_Civil_War) against [Kublai](/source/Kublai) in the early 1260s.

When he died, he left no male heir. Therefore, his nephew [Köchü](/source/K%C3%B6ch%C3%BC) succeeded him.
