Timber came through the youth academies of DVSU and Feyenoord before joining the [Ajax youth academy](/source/Ajax_Youth_Academy) along with his brother Jurriën in 2014. After a spell at [FC Utrecht](/source/FC_Utrecht), he signed for Feyenoord in 2022, where he has since became captain and lead them to win the [Eredivisie](/source/Eredivisie), the [KNVB Cup](/source/KNVB_Cup), and the [Johan Cruyff Shield](/source/Johan_Cruyff_Shield).

Timber represented the Netherlands at multiple international youth levels and was part of the squad that won the [2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship](/source/2018_UEFA_European_Under-17_Championship). He made his senior debut for the Netherlands in March 2024.

Born in the Netherlands, Timber and his twin brother [Jurriën](/source/Jurri%C3%ABn_Timber), who is also a footballer, are of [Curaçaoan descent](/source/Cura%C3%A7aoans_in_the_Netherlands). Both their mother Marilyn and their father are from [Curaçao](/source/Cura%C3%A7ao), part of the [ABC Islands](/source/ABC_islands_(Leeward_Antilles)) in the [Dutch Caribbean](/source/Dutch_Caribbean).
