It has been built during [Qajar dynasty](/source/Qajar_dynasty), and is a part of [Seghat-ol-eslam street](/source/Seghat-ol-eslam_street), connecting [Bazaar of Tabriz](/source/Bazaar_of_Tabriz) to the northern districts of Tabriz, among them [Sheshgelan](/source/Sheshgelan) and [Davachi](/source/Davachi_(Tabriz)). During [Pahlavi dynasty](/source/Pahlavi_dynasty), a smaller bridge was built for the pedestrians.
