== Mythology ==
After having slain [Bias](/source/Bias_(mythology)), his own paternal uncle, Pylas founded the town of [Pylos](/source/Pylos) in the [Peloponnese](/source/Peloponnese). He gave Megara to [Pandion](/source/Pandion_II) who had married his daughter [Pylia](/source/Pylia_(mythology)), and accordingly was his son-in-law.<ref name="grimal" /><ref name="pauly" />

Pylon was also the father of [Sciron](/source/Sciron), the warlord of Megara.<ref name="grimal" /><ref name="pauly" /><ref>Apollodorus, 3.15.6</ref>
