# Pycnoloma

***Pycnoloma*** is a [monotypic](/source/Monotypic) moth genus in the family [Geometridae](/source/Geometridae).[1][2] It contains only one species, ***Pycnoloma rufibasalis***, which is found in [New Guinea](/source/New_Guinea).[3] Both the genus and species were [first described](/source/Species_description) by [William Warren](/source/William_Warren_(entomologist)) in 1906.
