# Puyrenier

**Puyrenier** (pɥiʁenje; also *Puyrénier*; [Limousin](/source/Limousin_dialect): *Puei Rainier*) is a former [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [Dordogne](/source/Dordogne) [department](/source/Departments_of_France) in [Nouvelle-Aquitaine](/source/Nouvelle-Aquitaine) in southwestern [France](/source/France). On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune [Mareuil en Périgord](/source/Mareuil_en_P%C3%A9rigord).[2]

## Geography

The [Lizonne](/source/Lizonne) forms the commune's northern border.
