The **Purangi River** is a river of the [Coromandel Peninsula](/source/Coromandel_Peninsula) in [New Zealand](/source/New_Zealand)'s [North Island](/source/North_Island). It flows north to reach [Mercury Bay](/source/Mercury_Bay) to the east of [Whitianga](/source/Whitianga).
