# Ptychotheca

***Ptychotheca*** is a [monotypic](/source/Monotypic) [moth](/source/Moth) genus belonging to the family [Geometridae](/source/Geometridae).[1] Its only species, ***Ptychotheca pallidivirens***, is found in [New Guinea](/source/New_Guinea).[2] Both the genus and species were [first described](/source/Species_description) by [William Warren](/source/William_Warren_(entomologist)), the genus in 1906 and the species in 1903.[3][4]
