# Pterygellus

***Pterygellus*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [fungi](/source/Fungi) in the family [Cantharellaceae](/source/Cantharellaceae). It was circumscribed by the British mycologist [E.J.H. Corner](/source/E.J.H._Corner) in 1966.[1] According to the *[Dictionary of the Fungi](/source/Dictionary_of_the_Fungi)* (10th edition, 2008), the genus contains five species found in [tropical](/source/Tropical) Asia.[2]
