# Psammodromus

***Psammodromus*** is a small [genus](/source/Genus) of sand lizards of the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Lacertidae](/source/Lacertidae). It has six described species, which are found in [European](/source/Europe) and North African countries next to the [Mediterranean](/source/Mediterranean_Sea).[2]
