# Prototheora merga

***Prototheora merga*** is a species of [moth](/source/Moth) of the family [Prototheoridae](/source/Prototheoridae). It is found in [South Africa](/source/South_Africa), where it is only known from the Schoemanspoort in the [Cape Province](/source/Cape_Province).

The [wingspan](/source/Wingspan) is about 18 mm. The only known adult was collected in mid-March.
