It was first described by [Hiroshi Inoue](/source/Hiroshi_Inoue_(entomologist)) in 1986.[1] It is found in [India](/source/India),[2] [China](/source/China), [Japan](/source/Japan), [Taiwan](/source/Taiwan), [Papua New Guinea](/source/Papua_New_Guinea) and [Australia](/source/Australia), where it has been recorded from [Queensland](/source/Queensland).
