Prise 2 broadcasts [television series](/source/television_series) and [films](/source/films), primarily from [Quebec](/source/Quebec) and the [United States](/source/United_States), from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

Prise 2 has a logo similar to [TV Land](/source/TV_Land) in the united states, despite having similar logos, they have the same television format(Which is broadcasting television series from the 1970s to the 1990s)

In October 2005, TVA Group was granted approval by the [Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission](/source/Canadian_Radio-television_and_Telecommunications_Commission) (CRTC) to launch a television channel called ''Nostalgie'', described as "a national, French-language Category 2 specialty programming undertaking devoted to television and movie classics."<ref>[http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2005/db2005-527.htm Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2005-527] CRTC 2005-10-21</ref>

On August 27, 2012, Groupe TVA launched Prise 2 HD, a [HD](/source/high-definition_television) feed simulcasting the standard definition feed. It is currently available on [Vidéotron](/source/Vid%C3%A9otron), [Bell Satellite TV](/source/Bell_Satellite_TV) and [Bell Fibe TV](/source/Bell_Fibe_TV).
