***Princess Maison*** (プリンセスメゾン, *Purinsesu Mezon*) is a Japanese [web](/source/Webcomic) [manga](/source/Manga) series written and illustrated by [Aoi Ikebe](/source/Aoi_Ikebe). It was published on [Shogakukan](/source/Shogakukan)'s web magazine [*Yawaraka Spirits*](/source/Yawaraka_Spirits) from August 2014 to November 2018, with its chapters collected in six *[tankōbon](/source/Tank%C5%8Dbon)* volumes. An eight-episode [television drama](/source/Japanese_television_drama) adaptation was broadcast on [NHK BS Premium](/source/NHK_BS_Premium) from October to December 2016.

Written and illustrated by [Aoi Ikebe](/source/Aoi_Ikebe), *Princess Maison* was published on [Shogakukan](/source/Shogakukan)'s web magazine [*Yawaraka Spirits*](/source/Yawaraka_Spirits) from August 7, 2014,[2] to November 1, 2018.[3][4] Shogakukan collected its chapters in six *[tankōbon](/source/Tank%C5%8Dbon)* volumes, released from May 12, 2015,[5] to January 11, 2019.[6]

### Drama

An eight-episode [television drama](/source/Japanese_television_drama) adaptation, starring [Aoi Morikawa](/source/Aoi_Morikawa) as Sachi Numagoe, was broadcast on [NHK BS Premium](/source/NHK_BS_Premium) from October 25 to December 13, 2016.[7][8]

## Reception

The manga ranked tenth on *[Kono Manga ga Sugoi!](/source/Kono_Manga_ga_Sugoi!)* list of best manga of 2016 for female readers.[9] It was nominated for the [Yomiuri Shimbun](/source/Yomiuri_Shimbun)'s [Sugoi Japan Award](/source/Sugoi_Japan_Award) 2017.[10] It ranked 50th on the 2018 "Book of the Year" list from [Media Factory](/source/Media_Factory)'s *[Da Vinci](/source/Da_Vinci_(magazine))* magazine, where professional book reviewers, bookstore employees, and *Da Vinci* readers participate.[11]
