As of May 2023[\[update\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Prestfelde_School&action=edit), there are 350 pupils on roll. Since 1949, the school has formed part of the [Woodard Schools](/source/Woodard_Schools) group, founded by the Christian educationalist [the Reverend Nathaniel Woodard](/source/Nathaniel_Woodard) and as such is affiliated to the largest group of [Church of England](/source/Church_of_England) schools in the country. Originally a school for boys, it diversified during the late 1990s and now has nearly 100 girls.
