The '''Premio Hemingway''' ([Hemingway](/source/Hemingway) Prize) is an international art award established by the municipality of [Lignano Sabbiadoro](/source/Lignano_Sabbiadoro), [Italy](/source/Italy) in 1984.<ref>{{cite web|title=Premio Hemingway|url=https://www.premiohemingway.it|access-date=24 August 2019}}</ref>

Lignano, situated on a small peninsula between [Venice](/source/Venice) and [Trieste](/source/Trieste) is a place where [Ernest Hemingway](/source/Ernest_Hemingway) spent much time.

Each year a jury awards a series of awards for excellence in literature and related fields. The awards are announced at a glittering ceremony in June. 

The Prize is promoted by the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro with the support of the Departments of Culture and Productive Activities and Tourism of the [Friuli-Venezia Giulia](/source/Friuli-Venezia_Giulia) Region and the ''Pordenonelegge Foundation'' which was founded in 2013 by the Chamber of Commerce of [Pordenone](/source/Pordenone) and local trade associations.<ref>{{cite web|title=Pordenonelegge Foundation|url=https://www.pordenonelegge.it/la-fondazione/mission-e-statuto|accessdate=5 September 2019}}</ref>
