== Biography ==
Predrag Finci started his career as an actor.[{{cite web|title=Predrag Finci |url=https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0277479/filmotype/actor|website=[IMDb](/source/IMDb)|language=en}}] In 1968 Finci played the role of [Gavrilo Princip](/source/Gavrilo_Princip) in the film ''Sarajevski atentat''[{{cite web|url=https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063545/|title=Sarajevski atentat|website=[IMDb](/source/IMDb)}}] directed by [Fadil Hadžić](/source/Fadil_Had%C5%BEi%C4%87). Later he studied philosophy at the [University of Sarajevo](/source/University_of_Sarajevo) and at the [University of Paris X: Nanterre](/source/University_of_Paris_X%3A_Nanterre) under [Mikel Dufrenne](/source/Mikel_Dufrenne). He was a visiting researcher at the [Freiburg University](/source/Freiburg_University) under the supervision of [Werner Marx](/source/Werner_Marx). He completed his MA in 1977 and PhD in philosophy in 1981. He was a professor of [aesthetic](/source/aesthetic)s at the University of Sarajevo until 1993 when, during the [Bosnian war](/source/Bosnian_war), he left Sarajevo for London. He has lived there since, and worked as a freelance interpreter and writer until his retirement in 2011.
