**Povardarie** ([Macedonian](/source/Macedonian_language): Повардарие) is a geographic region in the central part of [North Macedonia](/source/North_Macedonia), and includes all of the canyons, mountains, and valleys through which the [Vardar](/source/Vardar) river flows.

The term is used in the names of [Diocese of Povardarie](/source/Diocese_of_Povardarie) of the [Macedonian Orthodox Church](/source/Macedonian_Orthodox_Church) and "Eparchy of Veles and Povardarie" of the [Orthodox Ohrid Archbishopric](/source/Orthodox_Ohrid_Archbishopric).
