**Ponjassery** is a town in [Vengola](/source/Vengola) [Village](/source/Village) in [Kunnathunad](/source/Kunnathunad) [Taluk](/source/Taluk) of [Ernakulam district](/source/Ernakulam_district) in the Indian state of [Kerala](/source/Kerala).[1] It is on [Aluva](/source/Aluva)-[Munnar](/source/Munnar) Highway(SH-16) between [Perumbavoor](/source/Perumbavoor) and [Aluva](/source/Aluva). There are three junctions in Ponjassery, one is the road to [Vengola](/source/Vengola) and other one is to [Kizhakkambalam](/source/Kizhakkambalam) another one is [Mudikkal](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mudikkal&action=edit&redlink=1).Ponjassery is coming under the administration of Vengola Grama Panjayath. Ponjassery is the Ward No. 1 of Vengola Grama Panjayath. Ponjassery is known for its secular feature.
