***Police POV*** is an American [documentary television series](/source/Documentary_television_series) that originally aired on [TruTV](/source/TruTV) and shows [police officers](/source/Police_officers) in action from a unique perspective: as if the viewer is watching the action through the eyes of the police officer (or from their **P**oint **o**f **V**iew.) While it is common practice for police activities to be recorded for training purposes or to be used in a [trial](/source/Trial), the act is most often performed with fixed cameras mounted on the [dashboard](/source/Dashcam) of a police vehicle or through the use of a [videographer](/source/Videographer) holding a hand-held camera. *Police POV* instead uses [headset](/source/Headset_(audio))-style cameras called an [AXON camera](/source/Taser_International#Body_Worn_Cameras) with the recording lens close enough to the wearer's eye to give the viewer a direct [sightline](/source/Sightline) of the events.[2] The show featured officers from the [Cincinnati](/source/Cincinnati_Police_Department),[3] [Fort Smith](/source/Fort_Smith%2C_Arkansas), and [Chattanooga](/source/Chattanooga_Police_Department_(Tennessee)) police departments.
