Born in [Sant Cugat del Vallès](/source/Sant_Cugat_del_Vall%C3%A8s), [Barcelona](/source/Province_of_Barcelona), [Catalonia](/source/Catalonia), Calvet joined [FC Barcelona](/source/FC_Barcelona)'s youth setup in 2008, aged 14. On 7 January 2016, he joined [Galician](/source/Galicia_(Spain)) team [Deportivo de La Coruña](/source/Deportivo_de_La_Coru%C3%B1a) from Barcelona B, initially signing for the [B–team](/source/Deportivo_de_La_Coru%C3%B1a_B) until June 2016, but with an option to renew and be promoted to the first team at the end of the season. After leaving Deportivo, Calvet joined [Llagostera](/source/UE_Llagostera) and went on to make four appearances with the club.

In 2017 Calvet decided to play college soccer in the United States at the [University of Pittsburgh](/source/University_of_Pittsburgh).
