This article is about the point and hills in Richmond, California. For other uses, see [Potrero (disambiguation)](/source/Potrero_(disambiguation)).

**Point Potrero** is a point in [San Pablo Bay](/source/San_Pablo_Bay) forming a cape and hugging the [Potrero Hills](/source/Potrero_Hills_(Richmond,_California)) in [Richmond, California](/source/Richmond,_California).[1]

The cape is covered with [chaparral](/source/Chaparral) and lies between San Pablo Bay to the west and north, and [Castro Cove](/source/Castro_Cove) to the east. The [Chevron Richmond Refinery](/source/Chevron_Richmond_Refinery) and Potrero Ridge lay just east of the point. [Winehaven](/source/Winehaven,_California) lies on its western slopes, and was once the largest winery in the United States. The area is currently isolated from the urban core and serves as habitat for deer and other creatures. The southern end of the ridge developed with many houses in the historic [Point Richmond](/source/Point_Richmond,_Richmond,_California) neighborhood. Part of the western coast is part of [Point Molate Regional Park](/source/Point_Molate_Regional_Park).
