# Pixelpost

**Pixelpost** is an open source [photoblog](/source/Photoblog) application powered by [PHP](/source/PHP) and [MySQL](/source/MySQL), developed for publishing photos on a chronological base.[1] Main features include multilingual capability, comment function, [Exif](/source/Exif) support, [spam](/source/Spam_(electronic)) filtering, categories, tagging and much more. There is a great range of templates and addons available to extend the basic features already included.

As with most [Content Management Systems](/source/Content_Management_System), Pixelpost must be uploaded to a [webserver](/source/Webserver) in order for it to function.

Pixelpost is no longer being developed from September 2009.
