# Piraeus B

**Piraeus B** (Greek: Β΄ Πειραιώς) is a Greek election constituency that includes the [Piraeus](/source/Piraeus) regional unit municipalities and Salamina. Concretely, this constituency includes the municipalities of [Keratsini-Drapetsona](/source/Keratsini-Drapetsona), [Nikaia-Agios Ioannis Renti](/source/Nikaia-Agios_Ioannis_Renti), [Korydallos](/source/Korydallos), [Perama](/source/Perama) and [Salamina](/source/Salamis_Island). It was created for the [1974 Greek parliament elections](/source/Greek_legislative_election,_1974) and currently elects 8 members of parliament.[1] It is one of five electoral constituencies of the [Attica](/source/Attica_(region)) region and former [prefecture](/source/Prefecture_of_Greece), along with [Piraeus A](/source/Piraeus_A), [Athens A](/source/Athens_A) and [Athens B](/source/Athens_B), and [Remainder of Attica](/source/Remainder_of_Attica).[needs update] It was established in 1958, primarily to separate the heavily left-voting suburbs of Piraeus from the municipality of Piraeus and diminish the electoral power of the [United Democratic Left](/source/United_Democratic_Left).
